Lanes End 3 v 0 Pembury
The first half on Saturday was a complete waste of time on everyone’s behalf not one player turned up and the performance was totally unacceptable, if it wasn’t for the returning Rob Mansfield in goal we could have conceded double figures.
There is nothing more to say than we were 3-0 down at half time and it could have been worse, the ability is there but the attitude isn’t. A lot of players can talk a good game but don’t seem to have the b@lls or the backbone to show it on the pitch!
After a one way discussion at half time and 3 substitutions the performance the second half was much improved and if we had started like this we could have quite easily got something from the game. Players need to realise especially in this league that you need to win the battle first, we are fitter than most teams but we don’t seem to “want” to work - whether this is laziness or attitude I don’t know.
This week we have a home game against fellow strugglers Tenterden to get our season going and I expect every one of you to put in a decent performance and work your socks off.
