Not the most positives of starts, another Sunday morning and yet again and different starting 11 and naming a player in the starting line up who had left the club, never mind.
We welcomed Rob Hendley and Tom Lowe to the ranks and Chris Elles came in to help us out while back from uni. I emphasised before the game the inportance of being hard to beat and starting the game in a positive manner and I was really pleased with the boys responce, Rob scored a great goal within 2 minutes and a couple of minutes later he had put us in complete control of the game with a well taken second.
The game then started to level out and chances for both teams came and went. After about 25 minutes they did pull a goal back with well taken goal and it stayed 2 - 1 until half time. During the break we talked about getting the ball wide and keeping the ball better all over the pitch.
We started the second half brightly with the back 4 looking loking very comfortable, Barry pulling the strings in midfield and Rob and Chris working tirelessly upfront.
Dom and Tom were getting on the ball alot more and both were creating problems for the opposition. From a sustained period of pressure Jo Cambell scored from a corner and then Barry scored a good goal after out battling 4 defenders and cooly slotting past the keeper.
By this time they were a spent force and had very little left to offer, it was good that Rob then went on to score his third with another well taken goal. In all a very good performance by all and if this continues a good end to the season looks a real possibility. Well done boys.
