It's always a shame when you have to go a goal down before you start to concentrate and play football the right way, and that's exactly what happened on Sunday.
It wasn't the best of starts with people being late and others getting lost in the huge city that is Hadlow.
I didn't really have the opportunity to say all that I wanted and to, so to that end it was no real surprise that we started slowly.
It was a very scrappy start to the game with both sides cancelling each other out, and then after 20 mins poor marking from a corner gifted them a goal that took a lucky deflection before going in.
After the goal we woke up and started to become more competitive and created a few half chances. On the stroke of halve time we were gifted and own goal from a Tim Marshall corner.
After the break I expected us to grind down what was a rather poor team who were severely lacking in ideas, but is was not to be, Tim had another chance well saved and Steve Mac made an important save at the end. All in all a fair result, mention must be given to Steve Waterman who turned in a tremendous display and to Strawbs who didn't. We must improve if we want any chance of being in the mix up at the end of the season.
