A good result if not the best of games. We started very well and were well on top from the first whistle and it was not long before the pressure told and Tim latched onto a loose ball and calmly slotted home. We were dominating the game although they created a couple of chances which Luke had to clear off the line on a couple of occasions.
Within 15 minutes we were two up and after 30 minutes Tim had completed his hatrick. We then took our foot off the gas and coasted to half time. during the break we regrouped and made it clear that we were unable to take it easy at any stage and had to stay focused.
These instructions were not followed and we produced what can only be described as a poor second half display. We conceded a goal from a free kick and a couple of good saves from steve kept us in the game.
still a win in the cup is a win and now we must concentrate on the semi final.
