Pembury 12 v Dormansland 0

When you win 12-0 there is not much more than can be said other than a job well done, particularly when despite the score line the team continues to play in the right way by maintaining shape and discipline.

We asked for a fast start so as to leave nothing to chance and were rewarded with two goals in the opening eight minutes. The first when a great through ball from Liam Gent enabled Peter Bukovec to flick the ball pass the advancing keeper. For the second Pete turned provider when his perfectly placed cross found Alun Evans to head home. The other goals before the interval came from Alun again when he beat the last defender to fire home and Chipper after a lob over the defence from Alun left him with just the keeper to beat.

The second half became a procession with the fifth coming on fifty minutes, Genty cut in from the left, hit a drive against the bar and Pete followed in to finish off with his second. Genty then got on the score sheet himself having been played in by Matt Lawrence and he scored his second and our seventh with twenty five minutes remaining. Stuart Gray added the eighth on his debut before Genty completed a twenty minute hat trick with our ninth on eighty minutes. There was still time after this for Alun to score another three and take his total to five in the match.

So a comprehensive win that does wonders for the goal difference and shows the strength in depth that we currently possess when you consider that there were at least seven players missing who would push for a place in the starting eleven.
