This week we had an away game against Horsmonden, with a nice pitch and 12 players to choose from we were in a good position to get a well needed win, we however didn't get it.
We started quite brightly, moving the ball well and finding our men with are passes and this led to our best chance of the game as the ball was played up to Wylesy, who showed great control on the chest and then shit finishing (it hit the bar but even he thought he should have scored).
Then came a terrible decision by the referee as he gave a penalty against Luke Smith for apparently an unfair challenge, This decision was bollocks.
They scored it (1-0) and that was that we were chasing a game that we felt we should probably be leading.
At half time Andy stressed that to get back in this game we needed a goal, good job he told us as we thought we could do it without one.
Second half we went out and pushed on but in doing so left gaps at the back and they created some decent chances of there own that were either balzed wide or over (on the odd time they did have a decent effort Andy did actually make a couple of good stops).
Then on about the 70th minute on a counter attack they managed to score a second that look like it may have been offside.
To be fair to us we pushed on and the referee thought it best to even things up and award us a (in my opinion) a dubious penalty and Alex Donaldson stepped up and tucked it away calmly.
After we got the goal someone asked the ref how long till the final whistle and he replied "1 minute" I cant help but feel he left it a bit late but someone obviously didn't as I heard them shout we can still win this, I thought it might have been Andy given his previous comment but it didn't sound like him.
We lost 2-1 to a team we should be beating but this sounds to familiar so I will leave it there.
Oh and Dean did an overhead assist that everyone was quite pleased with, I lost my entusiasm about it when Dean said he need extra time to decode my reports.
