APM Mears 5 v Pembury 0

Simple mistakes are being made by players and management alike so this week I cannot criticise any of the players before I mention my mistakes and wonder whether my mistakes are sackable offences.

Our first error came against Oakwood in the cup when short of players we had to pull out and incur a fine, next was calling in our result to the wrong league again a fine and then this week two more errors firstly in putting Dave Lindsey instead of Dave Hymers (wishful thinking) and then playing Tom Gent who has not signed on to play first team football. Although not all of these are directly my errors as joint first team manager I have to shoulder the responsibility and in doing so I have fined myself and will donate the money to the club to help towards paying these fines.

On to the match, well it doesn‘t matter as we played an illegible player and if we did get anything out of it we would have had to lose the points. Saying that we lost 5-0 so at least no points lost, the commitment of the players there was good with some good opportunities to score and get back into the match at 1-0 down, but again basic errors cost us. They had a little help from the ref who was the worst I‘ve seen for a while but that isn‘t the reason we lost the game. On a brighter note returning goalkeeper James Ramskill was outstanding and easily man of the match.

I'm sure the dreaded vote of confidence will be given to me by Boozer tonight and if we had anyone else my short indifferent reign as manager would be coming to an end. BUT as like in the summer no one else wants to do the job you‘re stuck with me and my mistakes.
