Today saw the start of our pre-season matches, of which I hope will lead us into the season in good shape, ready for a more competitive effort in the league than we have had the last couple of years. We were up against a side from the equivalent division in the Western section. We scored the only goal via a direct free kick, which Sargy netted. It proved a useful exercise, with some promising performances from some young lads who have joined us this year. If the usual suspects turn out regular, we could go well.
