Today, the culmination of our pre season efforts, resulted in a emphatic victory over Cray.
I initially thought they were going to give us a stern test, as in the first 20 mins they were competing and looked a reasonable side, even though we took a 2-0 lead which they reduced to 2-1, when their forward converted a parried shot by Rob. However we soon regained our 2 goal advantage, and from there on in their team play deteriated, and we scored another 5 after half time.
The goals were from Ben Brooker 4, Robbie James 2, Hymers 1 and a collectors item from Ada James. Have we had Father and son score in the same fixture before?.
Next week we start our seasons fixtures, and we must have higher ambitions than last season, but it is entirely down to the players levelof commitment and desire, as how successful we can be this year.
