We returned to winning ways this week, although it wasn't in entirely convincing style against the team at the bottom of the league.
We seemed relatively comfortable in the early exchanges, but fell behind to a 30 yard super strike, which left debutant goalkeeper Ashley Pickworth (15) with no chance. 1-0 soon became 2-0 as a defensive howler presented their forward with another gift.
We however were still creating and finally got 1 back when Alun Evans squared across the box for Dan Hesmer to slot home. Minutes later it was 2-2 when Alun shot across the goalie into the bottom corner. Just before half time we made it 3-2 when Aus converted after Rob James had nodded back across the box.
We talked at half time that if we continued to play a football and show more composure when in possession and in front of goal, we would win the match. However the game took another turn, when their winger cut in from the right and curled a shot into the top corner. 3-3 and time to start worrying.
Fortunately it wasn't to long before we leading again, when Rob James drilled home when they failed to clear a corner. 4-3 and this is how it finished.
On the whole an improvement on the previous week, good character shown to come from behind again. And an important 3 points gained.
Well done, but we must improve further to remain in the promotion picture.
