UK Paper 3-0 Pembury

I really thought this was going to be the week our fortunes turned for the better, and for 45 minutes it looked that way. We played with a new formation which we hoped would get us men behind the ball when defending and numbers joining the play when attacking. The first half it worked fine, all that was missing was a goal which our dominance deserved. The work rate and desire was there, and even though we arrived at half time 0-0, I thought it was only a matter of time before we got the break through. The second half was completely different. The game started completely flat, with neither side looking like they particularly wanted to be out there.

The visitors took the lead via a corner, which was defended poorly, as we had opportunities to clear but failed to. Their second came when Benny played Woody in to trouble inside the area, and he was dispossessed by their front man, who stuck it away neatly. The third was a goalkeeping howler, as a tame shot somehow managed to roll over the top of Robs' body and into the back of the net. 3-0 to the visitors, and you could say they were all gifts.

The positives from my point of view, were that we had some good individual performances, and the formation worked well. We have just got to cut out really poor individual errors, and also hope we start getting the rub of the green a bit, will help.
