This week we travelled to Otford, who we beat 3-0 first game of the season.
This may have been in the players minds, because the display that we put in the first half, was by far the most lacklustre, heartless and deflating, I have witnessed this season. It was as if everyone thought all we had to do was turn up to take the points. Within minutes we could see this was not to be the case as their football was posing us problems all over the pitch. We were fortunate to be only 1-0 down at half time.
The second half was a better performance, and maybe if we had converted a penalty to make it 1-1, things may have been different. We didn't, and despite creating a few other chances, we failed to convert any and they took the 2 that came their way. 3-0 and a very disappointing day was over.
We really need to start from scratch, and begin to do the basics correctly, before we can advance further.
