After the impressive display the week before, it was back to the lacklustre effort, which has been all to frequent in recent weeks.
We didn't turn up for the first half at all this week, and by the time we did start to show some desire, we were 3-0 down. The second half was an improvement on the first, but the solitary goal was still scored by our opponents.
Whenever we come up against teams from the higher part of the league, we cannot deal with their pace and movement. Coupled with a lack of desire this is a recipe for defeat.
I personally felt quite embarrassed, that people, who heard of our previous weeks efforts, were actually watching this week.
We are still making basic errors in all areas of the pitch, which you cannot legislate for, and at this level, I don't expect them to be made either.
The players who are playing have got to ask the question, whether they believe they are good enough, and if the answer is yes, then they have got to start showing this.
We have 7 games left, and if we end up the bottom 2, which is a real possibility, we could be back in the Tonbridge League, which would be a total under achievement, for the players and the management.
Lets not be part of that !!
