A big thank you to John's missus for sending through the picture of John, he certainly does continue the long standing tradition of having well-fit centre midfielders at the club. Oh and thanks for the update on his progress.
Kate certainly seems like a lovely girl and if she feels like sending in her picture of herself as well, I for one would not complain - let's face it, with a boat like that, JD isn't likely to be pulling any of the usual Davinci mingers the rest of us make do with / fall asleep next to.
On a more important notice, I must protest about the time it took for the ambulance getting to the pitch, I know they wanted to go round the town of Paddock Wood (understandable) but, they were delayed by a further 30 minutes while they negotiated the growing influx of flasks that seem to plague the sidelines at any Pembury match. As a club full of fashionistas, we are quick to embrace what will be called the i-pod of hot beverage storage, but we must tame their use.
In the preceding time, fellow players were forced to amuse themselves by putting silly hats on John, making smart jokes, farting and popping round Mrs H's for a cup of tea. This really is unacceptable.
Cheers for the update on John, could you put the following on the website (under anon) please. Thanks
I would just like to say all the best to JD and here's to a speedy recovery.
With regards to the post 'Comments from fellow well-wishers etc etc'
I too agree with the author that Kate should send a picture of herself so the good people of pembury and surrounding areas can check out what sort of a nurse JD has caring for him during these battling times. Any picture would be suitable, in fact the more skin showing probably the better for all concerned as this may lead to some sort of modelling contract (I have contacts).
It actually got me thinking that a possible page could be set up on the website 'Girlfirends/Wifes' - this would be a great way to promote the club and more could come from it in the future i.e. something along the lines of Pembury's Calendar Girls ? - no Boozer just coz you saw that film at the cinema doesn't mean that the lovely Mrs Boozer can be Mrs Santa for December !
If anyone has any input on this then please fill free to comment as I would like to know what Pembury Folk think of the idea.
Merry Christmas
"As an avid reader of your "Over the Bar" column, I was stunned to read the article submitted by the girlfriend of Jon Dallas.
What an adorable person
Absolutely gorgeous
I think I am in love.
It must have been the sunglasses and vest that finally did it for me.
Yours adoringly
